DESIGN QUESTION... PIANOS?

OK. SO I HAVE BEEN THINKING ABOUT WHAT TO DO WITH AN UPRIGHT PIANO. LIKE THIS ONE...

WHY? BECAUSE I HAVE ONE. ITS IN STORAGE. IT LOOKS ALMOST EXACT LIKE THE ONE ABOVE BUT ITS MORE WORN AND THE FINISH IS PEELING OFF. SO MY THOUGHTS ARE, 1. WHAT TO DO TO IT TO MAKE IT LOOK GOOD. PAINT IT, STAIN IT, ETC. 2. HOW TO MAKE IT FIT INTO THE DESIGN AND FLOW OF A ROOM, SUCH AS A LIVING ROOM. 3. I THINK THERE PRETTY UGLY... BUT DON'T WANT TO GET RID OF IT BUT... AS A LARGE DESIGN ELEMENT IN A ROOM, I REALLY DON'T LIKE IT.

SO, WHAT TO DO??
MY FIRST THOUGHT IS TO PAINT IT. LIKE THIS ONE ON DESIGN SPONGE.

OR HERE ON DESIGN MOM.

green painted piano

I AM LEANING TOWARDS WHITE THO. BECAUSE THE PIECE IS LARGER IN SCALE. PAINT IT A HIGH GLOSS WHITE, WITH THE CONTRAST OF THE BLACK KEYS, THAT WOULD LOOK GOOD AND SINCE MY WALLS ARE WHITE, IT WOULD BLEND IN WITH THE WALLS AND NOT FEEL SO LARGE...

I THOUGHT THIS PICTURE FROM APARTMENT THERAPY  WAS A GOOD LOOK WITH STICKING WITH THE ORIGINAL WOOD FINISH.

THEN DO YOU REALLY WANT IT IN A LIVING ROOM SETTING OR SHOULD YOU PUT IT IN A ROOM SUCH AS THE OFFICE OR PLAYROOM, ETC?

NOT SURE WHICH WAY I'LL GO. WHAT DO YALL THINK? PAINTED OR STAINED? IN A LIVING ROOM OR JUST IN AN EXTRA ROOM WHERE ITS NOT SEEN AS MUCH? UGH, THESE TYPE OF PIANOS ARE DIFFICULT PIECES. I GUESS I COULD TWITCH MY NOSE LIKE SAMANTHA ON BEWITCHED AND TURN IT INTO MY DREAM BABY GRAND PIANO :) I WOULD KNOW EXACTLY WHAT TO DO WITH IT THEN!

YALL HAVE A BEAUTIFUL DAY!

I am a piano lover, but I just found an awesome image the other day with a piano painted the awesome shade of turquoise. I'd paint it.

I'd go with paint too. I think it'd look awesome with a fresh coat on it!
