BATHROOMS!!

SO, LETS TALK BATHROOMS. TO BE PERFECTLY HONEST, BATHROOMS ARE THE HARDEST AREA FOR ME TO WANT TO DESIGN. MOST OF THE TIME THERE ARE ELEMENTS IN A BATHROOM THAT YOU JUST CAN NOT WORK WITH. REALISTICALLY SPEAKING. BATHROOMS CAN BE ONE OF THE MOST EXPENSIVE AREAS IN THE  HOUSE TO UPDATE, ETC. SO, IF YOUR BUDGET IS TIGHT ( AS IS MOST OF OURS THESE DAYS ) YOU SOMETIMES HAVE TO WORK WITH A UGLY TILE COLOR OR SMALL SPACE, OR MAYBE A ROOM WITH NO WINDOW. FOR ME IT TAKES A LOT OF THOUGHT. SO TODAY I AM THINKING ABOUT OUR GUEST/HENRY'S BATHROOM. HERE IS A PICTURE OF IT NOW. ( I HAVE NOT DONE ONE THING TO IT )

I AM ACTUALLY VERY LUCKY WITH THIS BATHROOM BECAUSE EVERYTHING IN IT IS NEUTRAL AND I HAVE A GOOD AMOUNT OF LIGHT. THE ISSUE IS IT CAN FEEL A BIT CLAUSTROPHOBIC... AND THE COUNTER TOP IS FAIRLY OUT DATED. SO, THE THING I THINK I NEED TO FOCUS ON IS MAKING IT FEEL MORE MODERN, THEN OPENING UP THE AREA AS BEST AS POSSIBLE. FOR THE COLOR I WAS TINKING ABOUT A LIGHT GRAY OR WHITE SIMILAR TO THESE BATHROOMS

OF COURSE THOSE ARE JUST DREAM BATHROOMS. I REALLY LIKE THESE SHOWER CURTIANS FROM URBAN OUTFITTERS.

WITH THE LIGHT GRAY SHOWER CURTIAN DO WHITE WALLS ANTIQUE GOLD MIRROR, JUST NETURAL AND CLASSY. WITH THE NAVY ONE I WOULD DO LIGHT GRAY WALLS WITH A TOUCH OF YELLOW IN THE ROOM AND MAYBE AN OWL IN THERE, LIKE THIS ONE FROM URBAN OUTFITTERS...

I CANNOT DECIDE. AS USUAL, I STUGGLE WITH CLASSY AND NETURAL OR FUN AND COLORFUL... WELL SEE. I KNOW I JUST NEED TO GET STARTED ON IT. WE ARE HAVING HERNY'S BIRTHDAY PARTY HERE AT THE HOUSE IN 3 WEEKS AND THE DECORATER IN ME WANTS TO HAVE THE HOUSE PERFECT... YEAH I CAN KEEP ON DREAMING.:) YALL HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!!

I am obsessed with using wallpaper for bathrooms. They give the whole room an identity, amazing since it houses the toilet.

Why can't it be classic, elegant and funky at the same time?

It's all about the metallic vintage wallpaper! It's so sexy.

Is that the bathroom you are working with? The tile is perfect. And with your talents, I couldn't imagine a finer person to design a sink out of a dresser.

In fact you should sell them. I had a lady come in today looking for a dresser to make into a sink.
